Professional profile 

Anne Marie Abrahamson is a partner in Lundgrens’ department of Employment Law and has more than 26 years of experience in the field. She advises both Danish as well as international clients on all aspects of Danish employment law and has extensive experience with the challenges of international employments, including immigration. 

Anne Marie emphasizes on being a sparring partner for solving her clients’ challenges and that the law is used in conjunction with other relevant factors. She litigates and conducts arbitration proceedings before the Danish courts on an ongoing basis and manages legal inquiries, inter alia regarding violations.

As head of department,  Anne Marie is responsible for Lundgrens’ data protection team which advises on data protection subject matters across each legal area of specialization.  The team has extensive experience with handling compliance programs and setting up whistleblower schemes.

Anne Marie is co-author of the book ”Selvstændige erhvervsdrivende og lønmodtagere” (Independent contractors and employees) (Karnov 2014 – Anne Marie Abrahamson, Jan S. Hove, Deloitte) and author of the book ”Vikarloven med kommentarer” (Commentary on the act on temporary agency workers) (Karnov 2014).

In addition,  Anne Marie is an active teacher at several external as well as internal seminars. Regular seminars comprise inter alia incentive schemes, international employment law, Nordic employment law, basic employment law, the Danish Holiday Act and change of terms in employments.

Anne Marie is chairman of the HR steering group in the American Chamber of Commerce in Danmark and is ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 along with the team.
 

Highlights

  • Anne Marie has litigated a number of cases at the Danish courts, including in the field of equal treatment and business transfers. She has also litigated leading cases at the courts and arbitration tribunals regarding restrictive covenants and the conditions around self employment.
