Lundgrens assisted Restamax Plc in its acquisition of Cock's & Cows and The Bird

Restamax is expanding its portfolio of restaurants in Denmark and Lundgrens has assisted the company in the acquisition of the Danish burger chain Cock’s & Cows and the gin/tonic bar-chain The Bird.

Restamax will buy over 90% of both restaurant concepts, and will operate through its subsidiary Restamax Operations Denmark. Cock’s & Cows and The Bird are two very successful concepts in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, both operating with a total of 11 restaurants and bars.

The founders of Cock’s & Cows and The Bird will work as partners in Restamax Operations Denmark and will own 25 % of the joint venture, while Restamax will own 75 %.

The Danish restaurant market is very competitive and with the transaction of two restaurant and bar concepts, Restamax’ objective is to reach a key position in the Danish restaurant market.

Restamax is the largest restaurant company in the Nordics and is listed on NASDAQ Helsinki in 2013 and was the first Finnish listed restaurant company.
