Legal advice about residence and work permits

When hiring non-EU/EEA employees (third-country nationals), there is much to pay attention to as an employer.

Ensuring that the employee has a valid residence and work permit is the responsibility of the company. If a foreign employee works without a valid work permit, the company may be fined, and the employee risks being expelled from Denmark.

Our services include for example:

  • assessment as to under which scheme a given employee is eligible to apply
  • submission of application for residence and work permit to the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) on behalf of the employee
  • advice pertaining to whether an employee must apply for a visa prior to entering Denmark
  • advice pertaining to visa for business visits in Denmark
