Wihlborgs was established in 1924 as a construction company in Malmö by prime contractor O.P. Wihlborg and was listed in 2005 in Stockholm.
Wihlborgs acquires office and warehouse property Industriparken 21 in Ballerup. The property was acquired through a sale-and-leaseback transaction whereby C. Reinhardt A/S sells the property and signs a seven-year lease for 5,800 sqm, following the sale.
Industriparken 21 is a modern property with the highest energy certification and has a good location in terms of exposure and communication. The property comprises of 13,900 sqm with approximately 10,200 lettable area.
To Nordic Property News, CEO of Wihlborgs, Ulrika Hallengren says: "Ballerup is one of the areas of Copenhagen where we have been established longest. We already have ten properties here and the acquisition enables us to further increase our focus at the same time as we create new opportunities for growth and development for ourselves and our customers."
The purchase price was DKK 120 million with possession on 1 April 2021. Fully occupied, the rental value totals DKK 11.2 million. On completion of the acquisition, Wihlborgs will own 636,000 sqm in Denmark, of which 126,000 sqm is located in Ballerup.
