Lundgrens acts for Highbrook Investors with the acquisition of the A-House on Islands Brygge

Real Estate & Construction
Highbrook Investors enters the Danish real estate market with the acquisition of the A-house on Islands Brygge in central Copenhagen. The transaction value is just shy of 130 million Euros.

The acquisition marks Highbrook Investors’ first investment in Denmark and the acquired property of 22,500 sqm consists of 187 luxury rental units and 17 retail units including a gym, supermarket and several cafes.

The A-house started out as an office complex built in 1960 but was converted to grade A residence with the aim of blending a diversified tenant group spanning from traditional families, artists and cosmopolites. This called for bespoke solutions and the high architectural attention for detail and overall avantgarde design ensured that the A-house in 2010 received an award from the City of Copenhagen for the best conversion and the same year was nominated on the World Architecture Festival as the world’s best conversion. The name of the property refers to its likeness with the letter A when seen from the sky.
