Louise Krarup Simonsen has more than 20 years’ experience advising Danish and international clients in connection with financial challenges. She is a specialist within insolvency and restructuring and advises on all aspects within insolvency law, management liability, avoidance and provision of security.
Louise is a renowned attorney within insolvency law after having been a key person in several high-profiled bankruptcies in Denmark, including Cimber Sterling Airlines A/S in bankruptcy etc.
Previously, Louise also worked as assistant judge, including at the bankruptcy division of the Maritime and Commercial High Court.
Louise is also a part of Lundgrens’ banking and finance team. She joined Lundgrens in 2022, and due to her long experience within financing, securities and financial companies, she has strenghtened the team. She advises banks, other financial companies and Fintech companies on financial/general regulatory questions and compliance, including cross-border activities and special corporate questions relating to financial companies.
Louise was also part of the team which established Denmark’s most recent bank, kompasbank a/s, from scratch, and she was head of legal and compliance at the bank, which gave her valuable practical experience enabling her to understand the bank customers’ needs and handle the regulatory authorities.

- Assistance in connection with the restructuring/liquidation of the PropTech company GoodMonday A/S – a leading Danish office and workspace management platform.
- Co-restructuring administrator and co-trustee in connection with the bankruptcy estates of the Rangstrup group – a group of 11 companies covering property companies, a factory producing basic modules and construction services – including assistance with the continuation of the construction of penthouse apartments, youth apartments and family houses and hotel apartments at Amager.
- Restructuring administrator and later on trustee of Kobots A/S in bankruptcy – a robot maker for the construction industry with a large portfolio of IP rights and patents registered in Europe / internationally.
- Restructuring administrator in connection with the restructuring/liquidation of Nextfood ApS, an award-winning Danish company which has developed innovative systems for vertical farming saving 96% of the water consumption compared to conventional farming and reduction of food waste.
