Legal advice about E-commerce
Setting up a web shop is not only a question of having an appealing design and a user-friendly functionality. The E-Commerce Act sets requirements for submission of information and the functionality of the website. The Consumer Contract Act sets requirements for information to be provided to the consumers at the time of purchase. If these requirements are not met, the consumers are in some cases not bound by the agreement concluded.
The e-retailer must provide information on the conditions of sale and delivery as well as terms of use of the website, provide information on complaint portals, processing of personal data and on use of cookies. It is important to ensure the rights to the content used on the website and to communicate in accordance with the rules of the Marketing Act.
