The three housing projects are located in Kasernebyen in Ringsted and have a total area of 17,300 sqm divided into 210 housing units with an average size of 82 sqm. The housing projects are DGNB-certified and are expected to be completed in 2022 and 2023.
Maycon, which deals with real estate project development as well as sales of residential, commercial and retail construction to investors, is satisfied with the deal.
Anders Mayland, CEO and owner of Maycon A/S, tells Estate Media: “We are humbled by the interest from Goldman Sachs, and we are very satisfied with our professional and good collaboration with them. At the same time, we welcome the very positive interest we have experienced in the project.”
This is the third deal that Goldman Sachs and Rubik Properties enter after the duo bought 10 housing projects earlier this year, which include 1,265 housing units in Jutland's growth cities.
“We are pleased to expand our property strategy in Denmark together with Rubik Properties and enter the first deal with Maycon Ejendomsudvikling where we will deliver newly built and DGNB-certified residential apartments at affordable rents. With the deal, we are now also exposed to Ringsted diversifying our portfolio further”, says Henrik Ohlsen, Executive Director of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's real estate business.
We thank Maycon for the trust and we are pleased to be involved as legal counsel throughout the transaction.
