Rasmus Vang

Professional profile 

Rasmus Vang is a partner in Lundgrens’ department of Dispute Resolution. Rasmus has right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and represents clients before all Danish courts and in arbitration cases.

Rasmus has extensive experience within the field of inter alia intellectual property law and also has vast experience with court and arbitration proceedings of a more general, commercial nature, including cases regarding M&A disputes, professional liability and insurance matters.

International arbitration and multi-jurisdictional court cases are also an area of focus for Rasmus.

Finally, Rasmus has vast experience in matters relating to preliminary injunction proceedings and cases concerning preservation of evidence.

For a number of years, Rasmus has been recognized in Legal 500, IP Stars (Notable practitioner) and IAM Patent 1000 as one of the leading, Danish attorneys within the field of IP litigation.

Rasmus has graduated from the University of Copenhagen and KU Leuven, Belgium. He has been a lecturer both at JUC (legal training centre) and at the PhD programme at the University of Copenhagen. In 2023, Rasmus completed the arbitration training programme held by the Association of Danish Law Firms.

• Pharmaceutical manufacturer (2022 - ): Represents global pharmaceutical manufacturer in connection with a patent action.
   
• Insurance company (2023 - ): Represents an insurance company in connection with the professional liability of a state-authorized public accountant (case value 15M DKK).
   
• Green Tech (2022 - ): Represents a Danish Green Tech company in connection with a dispute before the Maritime and Commercial High Court in relation to ownership of inventions and misuse of trade secrets.
   
• Equity owner (2022-2023): Represented the claimant in an international case before the Danish Arbitration Institute regarding the validity of a non-competition clause and damages (case value 225M DKK).
   
• M&A dispute (2020-2023): Represented the claimant in a post M&A dispute before the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Case value more than 1B DKK.
   
• Machine manufacturer (2017-2023): Represented a Danish machine manufacturer in connection with several actions, including US actions.  Assisted with the discovery proceedings and instructions of the US attorneys, etc.
   
• Equity owner (2022): Represented the appellant in a case before the Eastern High Court concerning the setting aside of a Danish arbitration award.
   
• Project developer (2021): Represented a Danish project developer in an international arbitration case (case value 100M+ DKK).
   
• Ilse Jacobsen (2020): Represented IJH A/S and Ilse Jacobsen in a case before the Danish Supreme Court on copyright to design products.
   
• Fresenius Kabi (2019): Represented Fresenius Kabi in a case before the Maritime and Commercial High Court against Biogen and Samsung Bioepsis on the issuing of a preliminary injunction against the manufacturing and sale of a biosimilar drug (patent and utility model).
   
• Mylan (2018 and 2019): Represented Mylan in a case before both the Maritime and Commercial High Court and the Eastern High Court on the granting of a preliminary injunction against the manufacturing and sale of an HIV drug (SPC).
